CFD Development Engineer

For our EMEA combustion team, we are now looking for a CFD Development Engineer who will be involved in the design tasks of a first of a kind cement reactor, operating at high temperatures, being developed as part of the Leilac technology.

In this role, you will perform 2D/3D CFD simulations of reactive/nonreactive flows and heat transfer analysis. This is an exciting role where you will be bringing research and development experience to the table and the ability to propose creative and innovative solutions, thinking “outside the box.”

This is a primarily remote position, and it is preferred that you are based in the UK, Ireland, Spain or France. This position will entail occasional travel for face-to-face meetings, CFD validation test, and result presentations.

Mechanical Project Engineer EMEA

Are you a Mechanical Engineer with experience from heavy industry and high temperature environments? Join Leilac as our newest Project Engineer!

In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of mechanical design and specification work. You will undertake thorough design reviews to ensure all areas of design are optimised with a practical, low-cost approach, and overseeing design interfaces.

For the APAC region, we are looking for a proactive Process Engineer with a profound understanding of cement processes.

In this role, you will be supporting process design across the company, working on process models, optimization, and permitting processes. The Process Engineer is crucial in developing process flows, energy, and mass balances, ensuring successful integration from conceptual design to operations. We believe that the successful candidate will have a degree in chemical engineering, 8+ years of experience as a Chemical, R&D or Process Engineer in the cement or lime industry and strong skills in process modelling, assessment of plant upgrade works, process optimisation and troubleshooting.

Pilot Plant Manager

Leilac is looking for a Pilot Plant Manager for its unique decarbonisation technology pilot plant located in Lixhe, Belgium. A fluent French speaker, the Pilot Plant Manager will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of the pilot plant and lead the operations. This role will also be responsible for ensuring safe execution of upgrade and optimisation projects, managing routine and as required maintenance and repairs including all required contractors and suppliers.

The right candidate will have on-site experience from cement or mineral processing plants, excellent project management skills, and a chemical or process engineering degree. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in R&D and wants to be the part of a solution for a more sustainable cement production.
